Dance Schedule for May 2009

Dances start promptly at 8:30 pm and end at 11:30 pm. Admission is $9. A contra dance lesson for beginners is given every Friday starting at 7:30 pm and is included in the price of admission.

May 1 -- Rick Mohr calls to Figments with Ethan Hazzard-Watkins on fiddle, Anna Patton on clarinet, and Owen Morrison on guitar and foot percussion.

May 8 -- Susan Taylor appears with the fabulous Glen Echo Open Band.
This dance will be held in the Bumper Car Pavilion.

May 15 -- Anna Rain calls to Endangered Youth with Karen Axelrod on piano, lydia ievins on fiddle, and Paul Oorts on mandolin and accordion.

May 22 -- Adina Gordon calls to Magic Foot: Colin Lindsay on fiddle and concertina, Chris Stevens on button accordion, Brendan Taaffe on guitar, feet, and vocals, and Stefan Amidon on percussion and vocals. They have a decidedly Celtic bent, but are sure to toss in some surprises.

May 29 -- George Marshall and Tim van Egmond call to and play with Swallowtail, including David Cantieni on wind instruments, Ron Grosslein on fiddle, Timm Triplett on piano, George Marshall on concertina, and Tim van Egmond on hammered dulcimer.
This dance will be held in the Bumper Car Pavilion.
