Dance Schedule for July 2007

Dances start promptly at 8:30 pm and end at 11:30 pm. Admission is $9. A contra dance lesson for beginners is given every Friday starting at 7:30 pm and is included in the price of admission.

July 6 -- Eva Murray calls to Morrison Brothers: Owen on acoustic and electric guitars; Will on percussion; and dad, Jim on fiddle and guitar.

July 13 -- Robbin Schaffer with the fabulous Glen Echo Open Band.
This dance will be held in the Bumper Car Pavilion.

July 20 -- David Smukler calls to Contranella, featuring Megan Wobus Beller on fiddle; John Wobus on piano; and Charley Beller on percussion, mandolin and banjo. Meg and her dad, John, have performed at contradances in New York State and local environs for over 10 years, playing both traditional and contemporary contradance styles. The band incorporates Irish, Québécois, New England, and Old Time music, always keeping a danceable beat.

July 27 -- Louie Cromartie with Notorious . Notorious is Eden MacAdam-Somer (fiddle) and Larry Unger (guitar and banjo). They bring together traditional and contemporary acoustic music from around the world, creating a dynamic, swinging sound that is sure to get you on your feet.
