Dance Schedule for October 2006

Dances start promptly at 8:30 pm and end at 11:30 pm. Admission is $8. A contra dance lesson for beginners is given every Friday starting at 7:30 pm and is included in the price of admission.

October 6 -- Barb Kirchner calls to The Nettles (Laura Brophy (fiddle), Kevin Johnsrude (guitar), Dave Bartley (mandolin, guitar, cittern)), who play fiery music that blends traditional Irish and American music with modern spices.

October 13 -- Mark Sherman with the fabulous Glen Echo Open Band.

October 20 -- Laura Brown with local favorite the Evil Twins David Knight (fiddle) and Laurie Fisher (fiddle). --This dance will be held in the Bumper Car Pavilion

October 27 -- Eva Murray calls to Jane's Gang ( Jane Rothfield on fiddle, Matt Brown on fiddle & banjo, Allan Carr on guitar, Paul Sidlick on banjo and mandolin, Geoff Harden on bass); they give Old-Time music a new voice. This Hallowe'en dance is our annual GEPPAC fundraiser. Admission will be $10 and costumes are encouraged, but not required. There will be prizes awarded for the best costumes in various categories.
